Every piece here was tattooed in-house at 499 Queen St W. You'll see fine line, black and grey realism, blackwork, script, and colour work from the resident crew. The space
Inside The Studio
The studio is a loft on Queen West with a giant glowing bolt behind the front desk, blue epoxy floors, Renaissance murals in the private rooms, and flash art covering the walls. It's built to feel more like a clubhouse than a clinic. Come hang out, meet the shop dog, flip through the flash books, and talk to an artist face to face before you commit to anything. If you want to see it in person first, we're open noon to midnight, seven days a week.

How should I use the tattoo gallery?
Use the gallery to understand style, scale, line weight, shading, and placement rather than copying a tattoo exactly. Save the pieces that match the feeling you want, then bring them as references so your artist can design something that fits your body and idea.
Can I ask for a tattoo from the gallery?
You can use gallery work as a starting point, but custom tattoos should be adjusted for the client wearing them. The artist may change size, composition, detail, or placement so the tattoo reads clearly and does not become a duplicate of someone else's piece.
What photos are most useful for a consultation?
Bring two kinds of images: tattoo references that show the style you like, and real-world references that show the subject accurately. For example, a flower photo plus a tattoo style example gives the artist more useful direction than ten nearly identical saved tattoos.
Why do healed tattoos matter in a portfolio?
Fresh tattoos show execution on the day; healed tattoos show how line weight, shading, and contrast settle into skin. When you are choosing a style such as fine line, realism, or colour, healed examples help you understand what will still look clear later.
Does placement change how a design looks?
Yes. The same design can read differently on a forearm, ribs, shoulder, hand, or ankle. Curves, movement, and available space affect detail level. A good artist will adjust the design so it fits the placement instead of forcing a flat image onto the body.
Which tattoo styles will I see in the gallery?
The gallery covers the range the shop actually works in: fine line, black and grey realism, blackwork, script and lettering, and colour pieces, from small flash to multi-session sleeves. Each artist leans into different styles, so noting whose work you keep saving is a good shortcut to finding your artist.
How do I go from a saved photo to a booked appointment?
Bring your saved references and either walk in any day from noon to late or book online with the artist whose work matches your idea. For larger custom pieces, a consultation first is usually the better move so the artist can plan size, placement, and sessions before you commit.
Where can I see new work first?
Fresh pieces, reels, and flash drops land first on Instagram at @yeselectrictattoo. This page holds a curated selection so you can compare styles side by side, and it gets refreshed as new healed and fresh work comes out of the studio.
